Originally opened in 1904 as a Community Centre this Edwardian building has also been a church, maternity hospital and school before becoming the fabulous 5 bedroom family residence it is today. It has recently been renovated but many of its original features have been retained and I especially love the large double height reception, dining room with its windows at different levels which allows light to flood into the room creating a tranquil atmosphere. This property has been refurbished to a high standard and I love the furnishings and accessories. The property is accessed through a pretty private driveway which adds to its charm and could almost fool you into believing that you'd stepped back in time. Not so the decked dining area which overlooks the lock and canal. There's a very vibrant cosmopolitan feel to this view and I just love the whole package. Yes this property certainly floats my boat, but is riverside living for you?
I love the different height windows.
This gorgeous decked garden area and view of the canal has a great feel to it.
